Phone call saying I owe past due taxes

Someone called me saying it was an important update about my past due taxes. They said resolution options were time sensitive and there were 8 days left in extensions. The whole thing was about getting me into a resolution program to reduce accruing interest.

They kept saying it was crucial we speak and that I should call back at 775-438-1723. Also mentioned calling that same number to stop further collection activity. I don't owe past due taxes so none of this made sense to me.

Calls multiple times a day about past due taxes

I keep getting calls from this number (775) 438-1723 multiple times a day. I don't answer them anymore. When I did answer before, it was either someone saying I owe past due taxes or someone trying to offer me a business loan. I never tried to get a business loan and I don't owe back taxes. The calls just keep coming.

Repeated calls about overdue taxes from different numbers

I keep getting multiple calls every day from different numbers. I decline them all but they always leave the same recording about overdue taxes. Even though the calls come from different numbers, they always say to call back 775-438-1723.

It's the same recording every time. I don't owe any overdue taxes so I'm not sure why they keep calling me. They just won't stop.

Texts saying I owe past due taxes before Oct 15

They have texted me at least 30 times in 3 days saying I have past due taxes that have to be paid before the extension ends Oct. 15. I already did my taxes and I owe nothing. I don't know how many other people in my area they've tried this on but it worries me. I've saved all the voicemails and texts they sent. This needs to be taken care of ASAP.

Phone calls saying I owe past due income taxes

I keep getting calls and voicemails from this number, (775) 438-1723, saying I have past due or unfiled income taxes that I owe. I have never missed a tax deadline in my life.

My phone flags these calls as potential spam so I don't pick up. They just keep calling and leaving voicemails anyway. The number is out of Nevada but that's all I really know about them.

Have received a few messages from telephone number 833-592-4182 and 855-361-1906 both leaving same message "It's crucial this is an important alert regarding your past due taxes as you know resolution options are time sensitive and extensions come to an end October 15. It's crucial we speak to you and get you into a resolution program. Give us a call as soon as you get this at 775-438-1723 regarding stopping further collection activity that 775-438-1723. We look forward to hearing from you and reaching a resolution." Yes, I do owe taxes, but IRS would not be calling me and have payment arrangement set up with IRS already.

Phone call saying they were collecting taxes

I got a call from this number, (775) 438-1723. The person said they were with a tax collection service. When I asked who exactly they were or what company they worked for, they wouldn't tell me. They just kept saying they were collecting taxes.

I asked them to identify themselves and they refused. It felt really strange. No company name, no proof, nothing. Just a number from Amargosa Valley, NV.

I don't owe any taxes so this didn't make sense to me. I hung up.

Phone call saying I owe back taxes

This person called me saying I owe back taxes. I don't owe any back taxes. They keep calling me over and over.

I have no idea how they got my personal information but they clearly have it from somewhere. It's really frustrating getting these calls all the time.
