Text about a Honda CR-V I never owned

I got a text message saying something about a 2017 Honda CR-V inactivity flag. Then I got another one saying the same car was moved to closing status. I have never owned that vehicle. The number it came from was (844) 494-1720. I don't know what this is supposed to be about and no company name was given.

Text saying inactive flag placed on my vehicle

I got a text saying an inactive flag was placed on my vehicle. It told me to call this number (844) 494-1720. I don't know who sent it or why they would say that about my vehicle. There was no company name in the text at all. It just said to call that number.

I didn't call it. The whole thing felt strange and I wasn't going to give them any info. I'm not sure what they want but it doesn't make sense to me. Just wanted to put this out there so others know.

Phone call trying to get my information

Got a call from (844) 494-1720. They tried to get information out of me that I wasn't about to give them.

Didn't say who they were really. Just tried fishing for stuff. I hung up. Ha ha.

Texts saying my car policy would end and it's fake

I keep getting texts about my vehicle and they say my "policy" is going to be "terminated." They even know what kind of car I have which is weird. This has happened a bunch of times and they also called my number. The texts give me a number to call back.

This isn't connected to any real insurance or warranty I have on my car. They made it sound like I owed overdue fees for some policy that doesn't even exist. I didn't call them back and I didn't lose any money. That's all I know about it.

Text saying my Lexus file is on hold

I got a text from this number, (844) 494-1720, saying my "Lexus IS file is on hold awaiting your response. Auto Service Dept: 1-844-494-1720".

I don't own a Lexus. Never have. So that made no sense to me. I didn't call them back or reply. Just deleted it.

Seems like phishing to me. They want you to call that number and probably give them info. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
