Email about remote data entry job that turned out fake

I got an email about a job offer for a Remote Data Entry Specialist position. They said they found my resume on Caljobs.com.

After I looked into the company I realized the whole thing is fake. The person even has a website set up at a17marketingllc.com. The email came from [email protected] and the address listed is 14435 Sherman Way St. #104-174 in Van Nuys, CA.

I didn't lose any money but it's clearly not a real job.

Someone named Kory emailed me about a remote data entry job

A guy named Kory emailed me saying he saw my resume on Cal jobs. I do have an account there so that part seemed possible. He was offering a remote job as a data entry specialist.

I'm not 100% sure it's a scam but I googled it and someone mentioned this happened to them too. The email came from [email protected] and the website is a17marketingllc.com. Address listed is 14435 Sherman Way St. #104-174, Van Nuys, CA 91405.

How do I verify if this is legit or not? I haven't lost any money but something about it just doesn't feel right.
