Voicemail from Warren Doyle about verifying my employment and assets
When I called back and talked to "Warren" he got frustrated when I wouldn't verify or deny the last four of my social. I asked them to mail me proof to my home and they told me to wait for a process server to serve me. But they never even verified my address lol. I knew it was a scam but I wanted to see exactly what they were trying to pull on me. I recorded the phone conversation too.
Voicemail from Warren Doyle about my employment and assets
I don't know who these people are. No company name for the client, nothing. Just a number (855) 399-1697 and that's it. It feels like a debt collection thing but nobody said what it was actually about.
I'm not calling back.
Voicemail from Warren Doyle about my employment and assets
I figured it was a scam but I called back anyway. The person tried to get all kinds of personal information out of me and I didn't give him anything. Then he told me if I didn't pay $9K they would garnish my wages. I laughed and hung up.
The number that called me was (657) 530-1258.
Voicemail from someone named Warren Doyle about my accounts
He left a number, 8593341527, then corrected himself and said sorry, that's 1525. So the number he gave didn't even match what he first said. The caller ID showed (877) 775-4391.
I don't know who these people are or why they're asking about my employment and financial accounts. Nobody verified anything with me and I never got anything in writing. Just a strange voicemail asking me to call back.
Voicemail about debt collection asking for my bank info
So I called back because I figured it was a scam and wanted to see what he'd say. He started asking me all these questions - where I work, how much I make, my bank accounts, investment accounts, even what car I drive. Then he asked for my mother's maiden name to "verify" I was the right person. Yeah right.
He said I owed like 20k and if I paid 9k right now I could avoid wage garnishment. He told me I could wire the money or use a Bitcoin machine. Absolutely not, you insane person. I didn't give him anything.
