Call about old life insurance policy asking for my SSN

"Casey" called me from All American Life about an old policy I supposedly had a cash balance with now. He already had my DOB and address and verified them with me. Then he asked my height and weight which I guess is normal for life insurance. But then he asked me to verify my SSN before transferring me to his manager. I told him I would not give that over the phone and asked if he could even verify the last four digits and he said he couldn't due to HIPAA. I said they could mail me something but I wasn't interested otherwise. He got frustrated and hung up.

I tried calling the number back and got a message saying it was not in service. During the call I got a text from 833-258-7724 saying an email was sent to me to verify my agent Casey McKinney ID# 2529010 and that my benefits coordinator emailed me application instructions. I never got any email. This is clearly a scam.
