Paid $1200 for children's book publishing and they disappeared

I paid $1200 for a package to publish my children's book. They were supposed to help me get it published but they never did what they promised. Now all their contact info is dead. Phone numbers don't work, emails bounce back, nothing.

The name they gave me doesn't even match what showed up on my bank statement. That was the first red flag I should've caught. I've tried calling (512) 410-5876 and emailing [email protected] but get nothing back. Their website amazonpublishingassistants.com is still up but nobody responds.

I just want my money back. $1200 is a lot and they took it without doing the work.
