Pop-up said to call Amazon customer service, lost $1,823

A message popped up on my screen telling me to call Amazon customer service. It looked legit, so I called the number. The person on the other end said they needed to verify some stuff about my account and asked for payment to fix an issue. I ended up giving them $1,823.

Turns out it was a counterfeit product thing, or at least that's what they said it was about. The address they gave me was 49 Arcadia Court House, Albany, NY 12205. I didn't realize until after I sent the money that it wasn't really Amazon. I feel stupid about it. I just wanted to get my account sorted out.
