Paid deposit for bunkbeds that never came

Steve Everett advertised his company American Bunkbeds on Facebook Marketplace. I reached out through Facebook Messenger and we talked a lot over the phone and by text. We agreed he would make us a set of bunkbeds and said they would be delivered in 14 business days. He asked for half as a deposit and the other half when it was delivered.

After that he started giving a bunch of suspicious excuses. Delivery got delayed four or five times over several weeks. It became pretty clear this was a scam and we were never going to get the bunkbed. So we asked for our money back. He never responded after that.
