Call about my missing cat needing surgery felt off

My cat went missing about 3 weeks ago and I put her info up on Paw Boost. Then we get this call saying she was brought into Animal General Hospital and needed emergency surgery. They wanted us to authorize it but when I asked for photos or any details they couldn't give any. I even offered to come there in person and they wouldn't let us.

It just sounded wrong. They called back two more times with "updates" and then just stopped. They never actually got to the point of asking for money but it was clearly some kind of phishing thing. I just want people to know about this number (479) 398-8255.
