Remote data entry job that turned out to be a scam

I answered an ad for remote data entry work and next thing I know they were emailing and texting me about the job. They had this whole platform set up that looked really legit, like an actual work portal and everything.

They sent me a tutorial video to watch and had me go through all these steps that seemed like normal hiring stuff. The website was apexlegalpartnersllp.com and the person emailing was [email protected]. They even have an office address in Englewood, CO.

I never lost any money but the whole thing felt off after a while. The phone number they used was (888) 887-7601. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else wastes their time.

Job offer asked me to sign NDA and W4 before anything

I applied for a job and they sent me a bunch of paperwork to fill out and sign. It was an NDA, an employment agreement, a termination agreement, and a W4 tax form. I thought it was weird that they wanted the termination agreement signed before I even started, but I went ahead and did it because I needed the work.

The email came from [email protected] and the address on the paperwork said 3365 S Dayton St Ste 310 #165 in Englewood, CO. I looked up the address on Google Maps and it just seemed off. I never paid them any money or anything, but now I'm worried about what they might do with my information since I gave them my tax forms and signature. It just didn't feel right after I sent everything back.

Job offer on Facebook turned out to be a scam

I saw a job posting on Facebook and it looked legit so I responded to it. The guy messaged me back and told me to send my resume to his email, which I did. The email was [email protected].

They sent me a formal job offer with all these directions on what to do next. Something felt off about it but I wasn't sure. I decided to look into it more before doing anything and found them listed on Ecautious.com as a scam. Good thing I checked because I almost went through with it. Their website is apexlegalpartnersllp.com and they list an address in Englewood, CO but I don't trust any of it now.

Job offer on Facebook sent me a fake check

I saw a job posting on Facebook marketplace and exchanged information with them. They sent out a W4 to fill out with my social security. They had several websites to make it look legit where I can sign in, clock in, and keep track of hours. They also sent out a contract to sign for a sign on bonus of $500 with $4,200 going towards their academy.

I received a check in the email after they notified me with tracking. They asked me if I had deposited the check. I told them the nearest Wells Fargo bank is an hour away from me, and they mentioned I could deposit it with my phone. I was able to check the BBB and search if the check was fake, which it was. And now we're here.

Job offer felt off after fast onboarding process

They emailed me saying I applied for a data entry job, which I have been applying a lot to these days. Which led them to asking if I was still interested in the position and I replied yes and the HR manager emailed me the job offer. The whole process went kinda fast thru onboarding and setting up employee information. Which made me second guess how legitimate the job was.

So I looked it up again and went deeper on the search and found out it was a scam. Their website is Apexlegalparntersllp.com and the email came from [email protected]. They are based in Englewood, CO 80111. The phone number they used was (888) 887-7601. I didn't lose any money but it was a waste of my time.

Job listing on Facebook asked for my social security number

I saw a job listing on Facebook jobs and applied. They emailed me back asking for my resume, so I sent it to their company email, [email protected].

The next day they told me I got the job and to fill out onboarding documents. But the training they mentioned in the first email doesn't exist anywhere. All they really wanted was my W-2 info, specifically my social security number. It just didn't feel right so I stopped. Their website is app.apexlegalpartnersllp.com and the phone number was 1(888) 887-7601. They have an address in Englewood, CO 80111.

Data entry job turned out to be a scam website

I applied for a data entry job and got an email back from [email protected]. They told me to go to their website to fill out some employee info form. The link was app.apexlegalpartnersllp.com/edit-employee-info.

The address they gave is 6635 S Dayton St Ste 310, Englewood, CO 80111. It all seemed legit at first but something felt off. The website didn't really make sense for a law firm. It was just a basic page for entering my information.

I didn't end up giving them anything or losing money, but I'm pretty sure this is a scam. They're trying to get personal info from people looking for work. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
