Text about an Apple Pay charge I never made

Got a text message saying it was from Apple Pay. It said they were reviewing a $146.79 charge on my account and that my Apple ID services might be temporarily unavailable. It gave a hotline number to call if it wasn't me.

I never made that charge, and I don't even use Apple Pay that often. The message looked pretty official with the copyright and everything, but something felt off. It wanted me to call +1(833)235-0197.

I didn't call the number. I just went into my actual Apple ID settings on my phone to check things out, and there was nothing wrong. No pending charges or anything. So I figured it was just a scam trying to get me to call them. I'm just posting this so others know about it.
