Security notice about activity in my Apple account

I got this message saying there was some issue with my Apple account. It mentioned Apple Pay purchases worth $419.95 from an Apple store in Glendora, CA. Said the transaction was on hold and I needed to contact their support team right away or the money would go through.

The number they gave me was +1 (888) 850-2204 and it was signed by a "Fraud Prevention Team." But the number that showed up was (502) 550-3970. That doesn't seem right for Apple.

I haven't made any purchases like that. I don't even know what store they're talking about. Just seems like someone trying to get me to call them. I didn't lose any money but wanted to report it.
