Facebook ad for free golden ticket turned into $1700 fee

I saw this company on Facebook offering 25 spots for a free "golden ticket." They told me I would get the website, product fulfillment, social media marketing, audience engagement, all of it for free. The whole thing was described to me over like 20 minutes.

Then after all that I was told it just took a $1700 activation fee plus another fee for a lifetime membership. I said that was false advertisement and they told me "that's just how we get people to sign up for the consultation."

So basically the free thing was never free at all.
