Text telling me to call about an unpaid health policy balance
They put me on hold and when they came back they said I owed some dollar amount for a denied claim. They said they don't have access to the office where the service was done, the doctor who ordered it, or the date of service. They said they are just there to collect the unpaid balance. If you ask too many questions they threaten to turn you over to collections. If you say you'll call your insurance company direct they get mean and say they are the insurance company, that's why you need to pay right then. They threaten collection and a possible lawsuit.
I did contact my insurance company and I have no outstanding bills.
