Hired for a job that might be an identity theft scam

I reported BL Properties Group LLC as my employer because I honestly thought I got the job. But now I found out it might be an employment scam or identity theft thing.

I already gave them my Social Security number, my driver's license, and my bank info. They had a website at www.blpropertiesgroupllc.com and their address is 19141 Golden Valley Rd, 1001, Canyon Country, CA 91387. Their email was [email protected].

I just want to make sure my unemployment record is correct and nobody comes after me for wages or a job I never actually worked. I didn't get any money from this, but I'm worried about what they could do with my information.

Job offer on CalJobs turned out to be fake

I posted my resume on CalJobs and right away got contacted about a data entry job paying $30 an hour. Sounded too good I guess.

"Jayden Sutton" set up a Teams meeting but it was just a link to a form with questions. After I filled that out they sent a job offer and a W-4 asking for all my personal info.

I started looking into it more and figured out it was all a scam. I didn't send them anything else but they already had my name and stuff from the form. Just want people to know not to give these people your info. Their website is blpropertiesgroupllc.com and they use an address in Canyon Country CA.

Job offer email turned into a Google Teams interview scam

Got an email today from someone named Steven Buck at BL Properties Group LLC. They offered me a job and told me to download Google Teams for an interview the next day. It all seemed normal at first, I was actually excited about it.

But then I decided to do some research the night before the interview. Thats when I realized it was a scam. The website is blpropertiesgroupllc.com and the address they gave is 19141 Golden Valley Rd, 1001, Canyon Country, CA 91387. The email was [email protected]. Im glad I checked before I went through with the whole thing. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.

Second fake job offer after posting resume on CALJOBS

I put my resume on CALJOBS on August 5th. The very next day I got an email from this company, BL Properties Group LLC, offering me a Remote Data Entry Specialist job for $30 an hour. They said they found my profile on CALJOBS and wanted me to reply for more details.

This is actually the second time this has happened. I got another email almost exactly the same just hours after making my resume public. Different property management company name but same pay, same wording, same way of reaching out. It's clearly the same thing going on.

I didn't reply or click anything in the email. The whole thing just feels off. Seems like someone is using CALJOBS to target people looking for work. I wanted to report it so others know.

Job offer after CalJobs turned into something off

I registered on CalJobs and got contacted about a job. The interview went okay, and they hired me. Then they asked for my HR info, so I gave it to them.

After that, things just felt weird. They kept pushing me to their website and emailing me from [email protected]. The phone number they used was (502) 975-8897.

I never paid anything, so I didn't lose money, but I'm worried about what they might do with my information. It just didn't feel right, so I stopped responding.
