Text about mortgage protection plan from someone named Jaden

I got a text from a number (517) 480-8500 saying his name was Jaden Jankowski and he was a senior underwriter. He said he was reaching out about a mortgage I closed out with BMO Harris Bank NA. He said when I closed I spoke to an underwriter about a mortgage protection plan that covers the mortgage if you get sick or pass away. Then he asked me to confirm I got my policy packet in the mail.

I never spoke to anyone about a mortgage protection plan. I don't know who this person is. The texts kept coming every day for the next 3 days, each one a little shorter than the last but saying the same thing. I didn't reply to any of them.

I don't have a policy packet and I never asked for one. This whole thing doesn't make sense to me.
