Email asking for bank statements with no real company name
They were asking for our most recent bank statements and a copy of the annual budget. Also wanted the 2026 Excel or PDF expense spreadsheet from mid-year to date. They wanted me to send all these financial documents over email and then asked about my availability for the week to discuss financials further.
I did not send anything because something felt strange about it. No phone number, no real website, just this random email address asking for sensitive financial info. I reported it as phishing because thats what it looked like to me.
