Phone call about a civil suit and my HR department

Someone called me from (816) 265-1910 saying legal action was going to be taken because of a civil suit against me. They said they were going to call my Human Resources department for wage verification. They also said I would need to appear to avoid a judgment.

I have no company name for these people, just the phone number and an email, [email protected]. The address they gave was in Belton, TX. It all felt strange and didn't make sense to me.

I never got anything in writing about this supposed suit. No proof of anything. Just the call.
