Someone deposited money then wanted it back in gift cards

Adam White deposited money into my account. I'm sure that's not his real name. Then he asked for it back through cashapp but cashapp declined the transfer. So then they wanted me to send it back with gift cards instead. I sent $1500.00 back and then they pulled it back. He deposited over $5000 more expecting me to send him gift cards. Thank the good Lord above my bank froze the account because of their fraudulent loan activity.

Brook Loans called about a credit card I never applied for

I got a call from this guy named David at Brook Loans. The number showed up as (747) 208-3334 and he said he was calling from their office in Los Angeles, CA. He was talking about some credit card issue and I honestly had no idea what he was going on about. I never applied for anything through them.

He kept pushing and wanted me to verify some stuff and I just felt weird about the whole thing. Their website is brookloans.com and they have an email [email protected] but something didn't add up. The way he was talking felt off. I didn't give him anything and I hung up.

I looked into it more after and it really seems like a pretend company. I didn't lose any money but I wanted to put this out there so other people know. Just strange.
