Job offer that turned out to be fake

I got an email from Build With Altitude LLC, from a woman named Alisha, saying they liked my application and wanted to move forward with screening. I went along with it, had a call with a guy named Brian from 713-493-3495. They said I met all qualifications, sent me a really generous offer letter, and then asked me to verify my ID with my driver's license. They also said they would send me money to buy office equipment through approved vendors.

That's when I got suspicious and started looking into them. The business has several different addresses and only two phone numbers. A few things looked off, so I asked Alisha for business verification. She had been replying fast the whole time, but after I asked for that, they just stopped communicating with me completely.

Then I checked my job applications on Indeed and LinkedIn, and I never even applied to them in the first place. Wish I had checked that before sending my license over.
