Call about my social security number and a card application

Someone called from 318-674-3820 saying they were a Capital One banker. They had the last 4 of our social security numbers and said they needed the whole thing to cancel a suspicious card application that was made in Michigan. It seemed off but they knew some info already.

They transferred me to what they said was Experian Credit. A guy named Calvin Dean answered at 213-222-6202 ext. 777 and wanted more information. That's when I really felt strange about it. I didn't give them anything else. I just hung up and locked our credit file.
