Job interview on Teams turned into buying expensive electronics
Then they asked if I had a credit card or a postpaid account. They wouldn't take Venmo, Cashapp, Chime, PayPal or any of that. They told me to go buy 2 iPhone 17 Pro Max (2TB), 2 iPad Pro 13 inch 256GB, and 2 MacBook Pro 14 or 16 inch 256GB with the M5 Pro chip. Said they would reimburse me for all of it and then I had to ship the 6 items to their tech team so they could put their software on them and send them back to me.
That was when I knew something was off. I lost $10,000 on this. I have screenshots of the entire Teams conversation from start to finish. Their website is cedarcreekhauling.com and the address they gave was 24 West 40th Street, New York, NY. The email was [email protected].
