Call saying my business phone line would stop working

Someone called and said he was from Century Link, telling me our business phone line was going to stop working unless we switched to another network. He knew my name, my company's name, where we're located, stuff like that. It felt weird because I had a Century Link tech at my place just the day before and he never said anything about needing to change anything.

I told the guy I needed to check with my provider first because this felt fishy. I also mentioned I hadn't gotten any mail from Century Link about this. So I called my provider directly and they confirmed it was a scam. They also said the document he wanted me to sign is now marked as "in progress" and I can't even open it anymore. His phone number was (505) 630-4909 and the email he used was [email protected].
