Downloaded the CEX.IO app and my money is stuck on hold

I downloaded the CEX.IO APP because it said you could invest in crypto and use it right away. That’s not what happened at all. I put in 26 dollars and they just took it and said it was on hold for security purposes. No other explanation really.

I looked at the Google Play store ratings after and I saw a bunch of other people saying the same thing happens to them. So it’s not just me. They are based in London but they operate with some state level permit in Nevada. I don’t know how that works but it doesn’t seem right that they can just hold your money like that. I haven’t gotten my money back or any real answer.
