Kickstarter backer paid $241 for pliers that never came

I backed this Kickstarter project for the ModuVise pliers back whenever it was funded. The creator is listed as Chao-Ku or Chao-Lu, and there's another name MINGYI TONG on the profile. I paid $226 for the product and $15 for shipping, so $241 total.

There have been no updates since I backed it. The guy logged in a few times after the campaign ended but never posted anything real or answered anyone. I looked at the comments and other backers are saying the same thing, nobody can get ahold of them through Kickstarter or Indiegogo. The project collected over $121,000 and it feels like everyone just got left hanging. I'm starting to think I threw my money away on a scam.
