Ordered mugs as gifts, got small products and a surprise membership charge

I ordered from chapterbookmug.com, which is connected to buyevergreen.co. The mugs were not as shown at all, they were really small. They said they'd ship within 48 hours but I never got a notice. I had to ask for a status. They finally showed up after Christmas, which was too late since they were gifts. We just kept them and laughed about getting scammed.

Then I see another charge on my card for $19.99. I asked about it and they said it was clearly for a membership to their shopping site. That is NOT true, there was no clear statement about that. I've sent all the emails I could find. When I looked up the phone number they use, 1(877) 375-4479, it looks like it's tied to a bunch of different shop names.
