Phone call saying my family member's account was compromised
This fake FDIC guy told her she needed to transfer a large amount of cash to a "safe account" and gave her account and routing numbers. He also told her not to tell anyone at the bank why she was making the transfer.
She ended up doing it. $19,000 gone. She called me after and told me everything. I can't believe this happened. Just never let a stranger tell you to lie to your bank.
