Text about a job application asking for my social security number
I tapped the link because I’ve been applying to a lot of jobs lately and thought it was one of them. The page already had my phone number filled in and asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN. So I put them in.
Now I’m not sure what’s going on. I never heard of CheckGo before and I don’t know if this was a real job thing or not. I haven’t lost any money but it feels strange they wanted my SSN right away like that.
Keep getting messages about a loan I never applied for
I never asked for any loan or filled out anything. I don't know how they got my number. It's just annoying getting these texts all the time. I didn't lose any money but I want it to stop.
Got a weird text about a request being accepted, link blocked as unsafe
It’s not the first time I’ve gotten a text from something called “CheckGo.” I haven’t clicked on anything or interacted, I just report them as spam. The link was go.checkgo.io/RCRoq2Mg. The whole thing just feels off.
Got a weird text from CheckGo about an account I never made
I never signed up for any account with CheckGo. I don't even know what it is. The texts felt really off, like they were trying to get me to click on those links. It said to text STOP to quit, but I shouldn't be getting these messages at all. I'm just reporting it because it seems like a scam.
