Text about health policy balance and a number that isn't Cigna
They never identified themselves at first. Eventually someone offered to lower my bill from $2,884.00 down to $1,300.00 if I paid it all at once. I asked for verification that I was actually talking to Cigna and they couldn't give me anything, just kept reassuring me that's who they were. They couldn't send me a new bill either. She said I'd get a link through email to verify the charge and nothing would be charged until I verified through the link. She also claimed she was an upper level manager who could get me the bill reduction. The more I pressed for verification the more unprofessional she got.
I ended the call and reached out to Cigna directly. They told me neither phone number belongs to them. (417) 373-9556 or 888-756-1846.
