Calls saying my family member was in jail needing $1500
Then on Sept. 13, 2026, a man called me again claiming to be from the same Sheriff's Office, this time saying he worked in the Pretrial Division. He wanted $1500 from me to release my family member and keep them from going to prison.
I called the Sheriff's office myself and talked to an officer there. He told me it was a scam and that a lot of people have reported the same thing. The number that called me was (832) 422-7948, and the email was [email protected], address 100 W. Houston, Sherman, TX 75090.
