Email claiming to be a court summons with a 2026 case number

I got an email that says it's a summons from the U.S. District Court. It has a case number #2026 and says it was filed Thu, 1 Oct 2026. I didn't click on the link in it.

It says I'm being served with a summons and complaint and that I have to respond within 21 days or a default judgment could be entered against me. It's signed by someone named Sarah Mitchell, Clerk of the Court, with a certificate ID.

The email came from [email protected]. I didn't lose any money because I didn't click anything, but the whole thing seemed off to me.
