Facebook friend said I could get a grant but they wanted money first

I got a request on Facebook from a friend saying I could get 150,000 dollars. It sounded good so I checked it out. They sent me an agent name and a website, so I filled out the forms and they said I was approved.

Then they told me I had to pay 5% up front which is $7,500 and then they would send the 15,000 dollars. The check was supposed to be sent to Brenda T. Yates at 2500 Vista Rise, Apt.C Tallahassee, Fl. 32304. The agent was Jason Bartram. This just didn't feel right so I didn't send anything.
