Letter about a life insurance payout that was never mine

I got a letter in the mail saying there was a life insurance payout check that I never cashed. It said to contact them about it. The email on it was [email protected] and the return address was a PO box in Amarillo, TX 79101.

The phone number on it was 1(866) 279-1852. I don't have any life insurance policy with this company and nobody I know left me anything like that. The whole thing made no sense.

I never called them. I just want to put this out there so other people know about it.
