Job offer with fake check for office supplies
After the interview they offered me the job and sent an employment agreement. I went through their onboarding portal and uploaded everything they asked for - signed agreement, W4 form, copy of my state ID, and my address. I put my social security number on that W4 form. Then they sent me a check for $3850.12 to deposit for office and tech supplies.
That's when I stopped talking to them and reported it. I feel sick thinking about what I gave them.
