Check for $1,963.50 with instructions to buy gift cards
The letter said to deposit the check and keep $463 for myself. The rest was supposed to be used to buy gift cards. They want me to act like a Secret Shopper while buying them. They also asked for a lot of info about where I made the purchase, like taking the silver tape off the card and taking photos of it with the receipt. Then I'm supposed to text that number and say the assignment is done so I can get a second assignment.
There's also a PO Box on this, PO Box 225391, New York, NY 10150, and an email [email protected]. I didn't lose any money but this whole thing doesn't make sense.
