Email about donating to our rescue then a check scam
I confirmed our mailing address and asked how he found out about us. Something felt off from the beginning so I looked him up on Facebook and found out there is a scam going around targeting animal rescues using this same name. They send a check for more than the amount and then want you to send some of it back, like the usual check scam.
Just wanted to report this is happening in our area and let other rescues know.
