Someone on WhatsApp saying they are sick and need money

I met this person on WhatsApp. They said they were sick and needed money for bills. I sent $1000. It was a romance thing, I guess you could say. They kept talking to me and I felt bad so I sent it.

The phone number was 1(769) 232-5148. The email they gave me was [email protected]. After I sent the money they just kept asking for more. That's when I knew something wasn't right.

I'm out a thousand dollars and I feel stupid about it. I just want people to know so it doesn't happen to them.
