Fence deposit request from someone who doesn't own the property

I was trying to get a fence put in and this person asked me to send a cashiers check for the deposit. Something felt off so I looked into it and they don't even own the property. The address they gave was 100 Silver Creek Trl #110 in Wentworth, SD. Phone number was (270) 370-2099 and the email was [email protected].

I found out they've tried this with other businesses too. People tried to get their deposit back and then had their information stolen after. I didn't lose any money but I wanted to report it so someone else doesn't get caught up in this.
