Email about splitting $11.5 million with an attorney

I got an email from someone at Donaldblancolaw.com saying they were an attorney. The email said they had an unclaimed life insurance policy worth $11.5 million and the next of kin had my same last name. They wanted me to split the money with them since the real family could not be found.

The email came from [email protected]. There was also a phone number (438) 923-9676 and an address listed as 251 Consumers Road Parkway Place Suite 224, North York, ON M2J 4R3, Canada. The website is Donaldblancolaw.com.

I did not lose any money but this whole thing made no sense. I do not know anyone with that kind of insurance policy and the story about not finding next of kin sounded made up. I just wanted to report it.
