Fake check job offer asking me to buy gift cards

I got an email from someone named Donald Lotta, [email protected], about a job. They sent me a fake check for 1950.00 and told me to deposit it. Then they said to use the money to purchase gift cards.

The phone number they gave was (412) 336-6912. I knew something was off. This is clearly a scam for employment. I didn't lose any money because I didn't do it, but I wanted to report it.
