Paid over $2500 for a dog that never arrived after many fees

I texted the number on the Doodles Rescue and Rehoming website about a dog. Everything was through text. I filled out their application and they said I was accepted, then asked for a rehoming fee and a transfer fee. They sent me some paperwork like a puppy passport.

Then they asked for a vet fee before the transfer and told me to stay by my phone. When it was supposed to be shipped, a shipping company texted me asking for a crate fee. The shipping date changed and they said I needed pet insurance money too.

I never got the dog. All together it was $2520.
