Knocked on our door about chimney and left it leaking

We’re in East York and this young guy knocked on the door saying our chimney was falling and needed to be removed. He quoted 800 that day, but once his crew took it off, he said there was tons of damage underneath and it would be 2000 now. We told him we couldn’t afford that, but he kept pushing and our roof was wide open at that point. I basically pleaded with him and he agreed to 1500 cash, saying they wouldn’t make a cent that day and that they’d seal it up right.

Six weeks later we had water pouring in right where that chimney hole was they left. So much water damage. He also tried to scare us saying a new roof would cost 20,000 which is crazy for our small house—the real roofers we got said it was only 6000. This really sucks because I just lost my job and then this happens and causes even more damage. Watch out for Doug, he has a Newfoundland accent. His number was (705) 492-6680 and he’s supposedly from Toronto.
