Job offer on Indeed turned into a cheque and Signal messages

I applied for a job on Indeed and got a short online digital interview. They hired me really fast which felt strange but I went with it. Then they sent me an onboarding link at onboard.ecopluspower.org/login that asked for all my personal info like I was actually starting a job. They even gave me an offer letter.

After that they emailed me a cheque to deposit for buying office equipment. The supposed employer contacted me on Signal. The email was [email protected]. I didn't lose any money but something about the whole thing didn't make sense. I just wanted to put this out there.
