Job offer on Indeed turned into mobile check deposit request

I applied for a job on Indeed and got offered a position. They had me go through the whole process of filling out a "w-4" and everything. Then they told me I had to deposit a mobile check to get the equipment I needed for the job. That's when I knew right away it was a scam. The email they used was [email protected] and the phone number was (208) 757-2529. They also had me on Signal.
