Text saying I won $500,000 from a foundation I never heard of
The message said to contact an agent named Mr. Dennis Johnson right away. There was a claiming code ETF$5K and a phone number to text, (740) 244-9547. The original sender number was (724) 679-7682. It all felt off. No real company gives away money like that to random people who just get a text.
I didn't lose any money because I didn't respond. But I can see how someone might get excited about that amount and fall for it. It's just a scam trying to get your info or fees. I'm reporting it so others know.
