Facebook post about a golden retriever named Teddy

I saw a golden retriever rescue page on Facebook with a post about a dog named Teddy. I reached out to the number they had on there. They told me they would hold him for a $500 deposit, so I sent it. We set up a meeting time for October 7th, halfway between us. I sent a pin of a public place to meet and they agreed to it.

Day of the meeting, no response to my messages. I called numerous times too and nothing.
