Letter to my grandma about Medtronic data breach

A letter was sent to my grandma saying she was a victim of cyber hacking. It said her personal info like her address and social security number were compromised because of an attack on Medtronic, her medical technology servicer. But she doesn't even use Medtronic.

The letter was from EPIC and they were asking for her personal information to offer extra cyber protection services. They made it sound like they were trying to help fix things. Her therapy provider confirmed this is a scam. I saw other people have reported EPIC on BBB too.

The return address on the envelope was 1519 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20036. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
