Loan forgiveness offer that cost me over six hundred dollars

I got a call on 04/08/26 from a guy named Carter Keylon at 1(949)226-6045. He said he was from Freedom Loan Resolution Services and that they could get my student loans forgiven. All I had to do was make monthly payments of $214.83 for the first 6 months, then it would drop to $39 a month for 120 months, which is 10 years.

It sounded good at the time. I figured this was a legit way to handle my debt. I ended up paying them $647.49 total. But now I'm not so sure about any of this. The website is freedomlrs.com and their address is in AZ, USA. I got emails from [email protected] which seems weird now.

I never got any paperwork or proof that my loans were actually being forgiven. Just kept getting charged. When I look back, the whole thing felt off but I wanted to believe it. Now I'm out that money and my loans are still there.
