Job interview asked for my ID and then something felt off

I got contacted about a job opportunity and they wanted to set up an interview. Seemed normal at first. They had me send in my identity documents and I even signed a contract they sent over.

But then I looked up the phone number (971) 342-8481 because something didn't seem right. The email was from [email protected] and the website is freighttank.com. After seeing all that, I just got a bad feeling about it. I didn't lose any money but I'm worried about what they could do with my info. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.

Job interview asked for my ID and signed contract

I got a message about a job opportunity and they wanted to do an interview. It seemed fine at first so I went along with it. They had me send in my identity documents and I even signed a contract they sent over.

Something just didn't feel right after I did all that. I looked up the phone number (971) 342-8481 and that's when I realized this whole thing was probably a scam. The website is freighttank.com and the person was emailing me from [email protected]. I didn't lose any money but they got my personal info and that's what bothers me.

Job offer asked for pictures of my ID

Got a call about a remote job and they sent me an offer that seemed fine at first. The email came from [email protected] and they had a website freighttank.com. Address on the paperwork was 313 South st., Steubenville, OH 43952.

They asked for my name and address which I thought was normal. But then they wanted pictures of my ID and also a picture of me holding my ID. That just felt off to me. I didn't send it. The phone number they called from was (971) 342-8386.

I didn't lose any money but I'm pretty sure this wasn't a real job. Just glad I didn't send them my ID photos.

Job offer wanted my license before any interview

I got this job offer out of nowhere for a quality control specialist position. The email came from [email protected] and the website is freighttank.com. They said I would be inspecting and reshipping packages.

There was no interview or anything. They just sent over a contract and asked for my drivers license to sign up. That felt strange but I went ahead and did it because I needed the work. Now I'm worried about what they're actually going to do with my info.

Their address is 313 South St in Steubenville, OH and the phone number they gave was (740) 314-0017. I haven't lost any money yet but this whole thing doesn't sit right with me.

Email about a job asked for my drivers license

I was looking for work and got an email about a job opening. It sounded okay at first. They asked me to send my drivers license, so I did. I attached a picture of my DL like they wanted.

Now I'm not so sure about it. I never heard anything back after that. The email came from [email protected] and the website is Freighttank.com. Their address is 313 South St, Steubenville, OH 43952. The phone number they had was (614) 835-6965.

I just feel strange about sending my license like that. I don't know what they're going to do with it. No money was lost or anything, but still.

Phone call about a shipping job that didn't feel right

I got a call from someone with a really thick middle eastern accent. She said her name was Jennifer Lowry and she was in Ohio. She wanted to hire me as a Shipping Examiner. The job was basically getting packages at my house, printing out the labels on regular paper (not actual sticker labels), and then taking them to UPS or USPS.

She said I'd get paid $4300 a month for the first month as a probation period, and then after that it would be $4300 weekly. That didn't make sense to me. She said I had to deliver 10-15 packages a week, or 3-5 daily. Some packages would be VIP and within a 10 mile radius, and those paid up to $5100.

She sent me a contract but I didn't go to the website. The whole thing felt strange. The pay was way too high for what the work actually was. I just wanted to share my experience because this seems like a scam.

Job offer asked for my ID and bank info

I got an email and then a call saying I had applied for a job as a package examiner. I don't remember applying for anything like that but I went along with it. They asked me to hold my ID up and take a picture of it so I did. That should have been my first red flag but I kept going.

Then they had me upload my banking information to their website. The email came from [email protected] and the site is freighttank.com. I gave them everything. Now I'm sitting here wondering what I was thinking. I haven't lost any money yet but they have my ID and my bank info. The phone number they used was (740) 314-0017 and they have an address in Steubenville Ohio. I just feel stupid about it all.

Job offer asked for a photo of me holding my ID

They emailed me about a work from home job where I'd be receiving boxes, checking the items, and shipping them back out. Sounded okay at first I guess. Then two days later I got a phone call from a woman who just asked a bunch of yes and no questions. After that she offered me the job right there on the phone.

She wanted me to fill out all my information on a link she sent to my email while she stayed on the line. I told her no, that I needed to look it over first. She got off the phone real quick and said to call back when I was ready. I'm definitely not calling back.

They ask you to take a picture of yourself holding your ID and send it to them for a background check. That's just a way to get your personal information. The website is freighttank.com and the number was 1(971) 342-0579.
