Paid for a road trip then asked for more money

I was talking with someone on Telegram who said they were Gerard Butler. We were planning a road trip together, it was exciting. He seemed really into it and I was looking forward to it.

He told me to pay for the trip, so I sent $1500. Then after I did that, he said I needed to pay more for an upgrade to a vacation. That didn't make sense to me at all. I felt strange about it. I never heard anything else after that. I'm out $1500 and no trip.
